no, you can sync a folder from your PC though... Take all of the pics you have and send them to your PC, then put them in the folders you want and sync those to the phone...

What is the best way to send them from the iphone to the PC? Is there a quick mass copy method?

Sorry for the stupid quesiton but how would you sync a specific folder with organized subfolder to the iphone only and not my entire my pictures library in vista?

In iTunes you can select what folders you would like synced to your iPhone. Simply pick and choose.

With a PC, your iPhone is treated like any external drive. If you go to Explorer or My Computer you will see your iPhone listed and you can navigate to the photos from there.

Oops, I read the posters question wrong. Listen to llofte.

Only Photos taken with the camera will show up in explorer, synced pics do not.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one.

I'm using iTunes to sync folders of pics that are already on my PC. Here's
the problem though:

When I choose the folder that I would like to sync from iTunes, no contents
show inside the folder. This is happening with every folder that contains pics.
I've made sure the pics aren't hidden and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Now I don't use Windows anymore but if I recall correctly that was never the case for me. That's weird.

It really is. I had one folder of pictures on my desktop which had some picture
files in it as well as four other folders. Well when I went to choose a folder
on iTunes to sync pics from I choose that one on the desktop. The little
explorer window would open that folder and not show any files, only the four
folders. And if I would open any of those four folders, no files would show
inside.

I just figured something wasn't working right. Then out of nowhere I thought
of trying to sync pics in that default "Pictures" folder and all of a sudden all
the pictures and folders were ready to be selected and synced.

I'm not attributing this to iTunes as much as I am Windows Vista. I hate
Vista with a passion.

Is it possible to create a folder directly in the iphone photo library app?

No it is not possible, but there are some alternatives ways like the Photo-Sort application. Here is the link:

It totally escapes me why Apple didn't just add "+" button in corner of album view so you easily create multiple albums from the iPhone alone. I can't figure the con to this... anyone?

I've been using Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo to transfer my iPhone photos onto my pc. Work like a charm! If you need such a software to help you transfer your iPhone photos to pc or a new iPhone, you can go to softwarebbs.com,you could get more info:)

It IS Possible to create a folder (which can be inside a folder or not)

1) In the Start Screen of Photos just press and hold the "+" icon and select "New Folder"
2) Name the Folder
3) Scroll until you see the folder you just created
4) Tap it to open it
5) Press "Edit" or "Changes" (whatever is called) in the upper right corner
6) Tap the "+" to create an album
7) If you press and hold "+" you can create another folder inside the folder you have currently open
8) Name your new album
9) Open it and tap "Edit" and then "+"
10) Choose photos to add to your album

Note:
You cannot put photos inside folders. Only in albums
