Not sure why but for me and some others it's advertising at $65. MUST be a glitch

I do t think it's a glitch but I can't say for sure. I have 5 lines and I'm not on grandfathered unlimited.

I thought about this because of LTE tethering and HD streaming. But with Tmo stepping up with that today, no way in heck I'm giving up 4 lines of unlimited for $120 with them.

I definitely wouldn't...too bad they're not reliable where I need them to be

They weren't for me for a long time. I did a test drive a few years ago. Was bad. Did a test drive again a year ago and it was night and day difference.

Verizon told me it won't happen often and you won't notice anyway. It's not the same as throttling.
Yeah, "Verizon said". Just a few months ago they said they would never do unlimited and, well, here they are. There's plenty of wiggle room in their statement on throttling and deprioritization.

I don't think they had a choice. Probably too many people jumping ship.

I agree. I think they had more churn than normal but the subscriber base was relatively steady. I bet they saw a trend and said they needed to do something. Plus they've admitted the cost of delivering a gig of data is going down

If you're getting the "$65" option it's because it's the single line of service. Like you have a phone and nothing else or a phone and a tablet

Thanks Verizon! Now as of Friday I get free HD video plus 10GB of tethering for free on T/Mobile ha ha. Verizon is a solid carrier, it's just so hard to leave to T-Mobile when it works for me, is cheaper, and gets better when other carriers make changes.
If nothing else we should all enjoy the competition taking place right now. Consumers benefit from this the most. Let's keep it going lol. Hoping to see Verizon lower their prices soon as well. Won't hold my breath but it would be great lol.

Oh man, we can only hope. The other carriers need to do away with the line fee, that's something else T-Mobile did. What you see is what you pay, excluding insurances and phone payments of course. The plan itself though, they say $40 a month per line for four lines, your bill is $160 per month. In a perfect world, all provides would be equal in offerings, plans, and pricing, leaving a customer only to choose the one that offers the best coverage for them.

Agreed. The line fee is getting outrageous.

Now that it has been offiially explained I won't be jumping on it. I will keep my current plan for the time being. I get a corporate discount and I pay in a timely manner. I don't like being forced into an auto pay. I have chosen paperless billing but won't do auto pay. it is wrong of Verizon to make it lower for selecting auto pay. I have had issues in the past. My plan is good and I am never over so why change a good thing?

Decided to stick with my current plan. All bonus data etc combined I get 12 GB of data for $55 a month. I'm not gonna pay $6-9 more for unlimited while I have a tablet and a DPP on my line. I think when I get the funds I'll early terminate the tablet and reconsider the unlimited. I'm sure it's not a limited time offer.

It's $65 for the voice/text/data plan alone. That doesn't count the $20 charge for having a phone line connected to it, which makes it $85 and then $80 of you choose AutoPay.

It works out great for me with 4 lines. My monthly bill is $6 less. But would be $70 more for my sister and hubby with just 2 phone lines and one iPad.

This doesn't work for me. I'm on the 12gb plan with 4 lines and I get 8gb/month bonus for life. So I pay $80 for 20gb, no overages. We never go over on data. I'm staying with what I have.

My bill went down from $82.50 (24gb BestBuy discount) +$20 (line access fee) = $102.50....to $62 (unlimited data, military discount with $20 line access fee included in price)....it's a good deal for me, regardless if I get "prioritized" after 22gb. I average about 19gb per month. If I happen to go over the 22gb allotment of true 4g unlimited speeds it will be towards the end of the month when I get "prioritized"....still a good deal for ME.

My advice would be to call Verizon and discuss your plan. There's a lot of "depends" involved. So if you want to know how you would fare with unlimited, call Verizon.
