VZW Device Payment Option

Has anyone upgraded using this option? I did for the first time yesterday. It seems I get a $25 discount for choosing this option since I have 10GB. That and my discount through work seems like this is a decent deal. I think I end up paying $40-50 less for the iPhone 6 if my math is correct, over two years.

Anyone have any insight into this upgrade? I just wanted to try something other than the standard two year plan. Also, I had the option of putting money down but I didn't. No upgrade fee was nice too.

Yes I also went this route and it's working out for me. Over two years @ $-25 (discount per month) = $600 which means I actually pay $349 instead of $949 for my 128gb iPhone 6 Plus.

Same here as long as I am doing the math correctly. And the monthly payment only equates to me paying an extra $5 a month more with the line discount. I think it all comes down to VZW wanting to keep you as a customer not the price of the phone.

I don't guess I get any discounts. I'm happy to stay on the 2 year contract plan as long as I can with my 4 lines. Every time it's been figured, I pay a little more with EDGE. So I have no reason to switch at this time. I'll probably have to for my next upgrade in 2 years.

I'm not switching plans. This is what I currently get with my existing plan. I spoke with CS and they aren't making anyone switch plans if they don't want to as far as she knows. So with my current plan that I've had for years I get the edge upgrade and the phone is actually cheaper.

Thanks for the input guys! I also just switched to the XL data plan and went from 10GB to 12GB for the same price! Yay!

The new plans are great. I switched my wife and son to the new plans, and since we own the phones my monthly bill is going from $146 to $84 and they now get 6gb instead of 4gb

Not to mention with the 6s models you can trade them in every year for the new model at no additional cost.
