Verizon outage

Did anyone else experience a service outage at around 1:00 a.m. EST last night? I know of a few other people who has Verizon and also said they had no service; more specifically in the nj/ tri-state area

It may have been a local thing... Those hours are when network and tower maintenance typically happens.

Well it was weird cause the other person lives 35 mind away in another town and also had no service, and wouldn't that be two different towers?

Yes, but it is still considered local - meaning in and around your area. I haven't seen any reports of a national or even a statewide outage as of yet.

Maybe. Maybe not. May be rolling with towers out one at a time until all got an update to firmware on networking device(s)... they never get specific publicly with what happens in outage situations.

There was nothing listed here in regard to any outages last night/this morning, but that is not to say that there wasn't.
