Halloween 2018

Has anyone else heard of the new Halloween movie coming out in 2018? It’s the first Halloween movie since Halloween 2 to have John Carpenter be a part of it. It also essentially retcons every Halloween movie since Halloween 2, as the new movie is a direct sequel to Halloween 2. What do you guys thinks about this? I’m excited about a new Halloween movie by Carpenter myself and the others weren’t that great.

I remember going to see the original movie in 1978. It MIGHT have been the first rated R movie I ever saw. I was 12 at the time.
