I feel spoiled this weekend...two wonderful movies in a row!
This might be one of the most intelligent and well written sci-fi's I've seen in a LONG time. It's essentially a story that begs the question of what distinguishes us from A.I. What are the characteristics that make us different than a sentient machine that are logical? Is our only hang out the idea that a machine cannot have a soul?
And what is the experience of the person who creates such "life"?
This movie touches some really scary ideas involving artificial intelligence...and in the end, I was really surprised by the unique ending that when it hits you with WHY, you realize just how dark this story really was. The ending was so calm, but in my opinion, terrifying!
I absolutely loved every second of it. Brilliant cinematography, acting and story. Like Mad Max, I feel this movie is a MUST see!
