The driver was Roger Rogas , a former professional race driver.

The car wasn't exactly in non expert hands.

R.I.P. Paul Walker a solid individual that went way before his time. We should not kid ourselves though by saying he was a great actor ... he wasn't even a good actor. Paul Walker had muscles & a pretty face. He got lucky by association of being in a franchise of extremely entertaining, but infamously bad teenage movies about import cars.
