This film was an epic event of my childhood...i can remember going to see it several times in the theater when it came out and it has stood the test of time as one of my favorite films, not just because of nostalgia's sake, but because it's a damn fine film!

We went to a legitimate IMAX theater (not the typical "LieMax" theaters you find most places) and i was simply blown away. The sound, the picture, the 3D and the visuals...it was one of the best cinematic experiences of my life...and not just because I loved the movie, but because my nephews (who are teens now) had NEVER seen it! They went with us, and they left as excited and giddy as i was as a kid, they want to see the other ones now (which I'm hesitant to do given their quality, but ****, the story still rocks).

    GO SEE IT!

That's all i can sum it up with...it's worth driving to your nearest IMAX theater and seeing it this way. I'd have paid twice as much for the tickets and left just as satisfied!

I wanted to take my 6 yr old since she loves dinosaurs. My wife says no for some strange reason.

I'm not even going to take my almost 10 year old. That's a scary movie! But every kid is different.

Every kid is different. My 2 girls were scared of the demon bear in Brave! No way I'd try the dinosaurs.

To be honest, Jurassic Park is a bit violent at times, and i can certainly imagine some kids would be terrified. When i saw it i think i was 13 or so, and my brother was 9 or 10 and we went so many times we started saying the words to the movie. It was awesome, but we were both total geeks about it and had the trading cards and the books and stuff...

The good old days, didn't think so then, but they were pretty great.
