The Gold part is Aluminum and the black part is some sorta hard plastic.

No Problem. The Spigen Gold Tough Armor is my "go to" and favorite case.

I had about 10 cases for my iPhone 5s and Element Case iON 5 was my absolute favorite... Recently upgraded to iPhone 6. Going miss that iON 5.
