YES to Custom SMS Tones!

i made the jump last night and did the upgrade. i see you can choose your own ones i made in itunes for Ringtone but not for SMS. the sms ones want me to either select from the list of buy crap from itunes. i want my double brass shells hitting the floor

I just wish the app store included a section for SMS/Email/Etc tones..

All I see is ringtones and I really don't care to have a ringtone as a SMS/Email/whatever tone..

I agree with you. i dont need a song to play for a sms tone. just my 3sec custom one i had when it was jailbroken. i love the sound of the double tap and shells hitting the floor! lol had it for ages. on my bb then iphone and now i want it on my ios5! =)

It looks like eventually you'll be able to use tones in your library - the button is there, but right now it doesn't do anything.

where are you seeing this button? I have no button in either the phone or iTunes...

From the settings screen, go to sounds, sms, then click buy new. Up in the upper right is a Library button, but it doesn't do anything.
