I hope this is true !! I also hope that the 3D Touch and other features don't bog it down so it feels the same as the 6

3D Touch won't use resources except while using it. I don't think it'll be much drain anywhere. If it used a lot, it may use some battery. We'll see how that goes.

With 2GB RAM, I think it'll be smooth as butter.

I was amused over at MacR, where someone was griping that the smaller phone also was getting 2 gigs of RAM and it would run better than the Plus. They thought the Plus should get more than 2. LOL You just can't please everyone. I think both will perform fine. Especially with the new A9 chip which will have greater performance and improved power efficiency at roughly the same size as the A8. Add 2 gigs of RAM and you've got two fast powerful and efficient gadgets.

My 6+ with only 1GB RAM doesn't feel bogged down at all. So I'm guessing that even if 3D Touch uses some of the additional 1GB of RAM rumored to be in the new phones, it will perform just fine and better than its predecessor.
