Xbox One Bluetooth Controller Help?!?

I just got an Xbox One Bluetooth controller to use with my MacBook Pro/iPhone/iPad particularly with Stadia. I paired the controller with each device with no problem, but it doesn't do anything. I cannot control any game on any device with it. Even games like GRID that I can use my Steel Series Stratus with, I get no recognition of the XBOX controller.

I'm at a loss. I can plug in an old XBOX 360 wired controller and it works (with the MacBook), but nothing from this new one.

Anyone have any ideas?

Update: We connected it to an XBOX and updated the controller. Now it won't pair with any of the devices anymore at all.

Ok, after 24 hours the controller again pairs with the MacBook, but it still does nothing. I’m back at square one.
