X-Men: Days of Future Past is an attempt to fuse the original X-Men movies ? at least the first two good ones ? with the X-Men: First Class relaunch from a couple of years ago. As much as the first X-Men movie helped kick off the modern superhero blockbuster, FOX did everything they could to kill it, including and especially rushing X-Men: The Last Stand out the door with an almost scorched-earth agenda, and making an X-Men Origins Movie so bad most of us wished we had healing factors. First class had a middling cast of mutants but a good cast of actors and The Wolverine actually managed to redeem the spin-off. So, is X-Men: Days of Future Past really the mutant movie we've been waiting for?
