I've had my iPhone 6s Plus for about 2 weeks now and in that time it has suddenly gone to the totally wrong time about 3 or 4 times now. It's always rectified by rebooting the phone. WHY is it doing that and is there any cure? My carrier is Sprint

First check the phone's configuration for time/date. If you are set for "set automatically" I would suspect you hit a rogue cell broadcasting a false time (unless you are close to the boundary between time zones). See if you can find any correlation with where you have been in the last hour or so (find the bad cell area), this would tend to confirm the cause if it is repeated at the same location on several occasions.

The only fixes are to complain to your network and have them fix the broken time broadcast, or switch the phone to manual time setting - which defeats the convenience factor of automation.
