Would you sacrifice a retina display for 2 hours more battery life and a lighter and thinner design?

i'm talking about the macbook pro retina and the macbook air. i dont need the retina display that much, but it is nice for reading text and watching high quality YouTube videos. The retina display is gorgeous but i will be sacrificing 2 hours of battery life and a lighter and thinner design. In other words, should i get the retina macbook pro or the macbook air? Is sacrificing 2 hours of battery life and a lighter design worth it for the retina display?

If you're basically just using your MacBook as a consumption device then you shouldn't get too caught up with having a Retina display. Go with the Air; it'll better suit your needs.

I have an 09 mbp and it doesn't have Retina display and the screen looks fine. If gladly give it up if I had it for 2 more hours of battery.
