Would Safari only reload tab after you clicked them?

When you have multiple tabs open, flip your phone to the horizontal mode. The tabs would show as little rectangular thumbnails with little “x” on the top left corner. If I just click “x” instead of opening that tab completely, would I still get new internet traffic? Or only just by clicking the tab completely to get the reload?

I’m missing something. If you tap on the “X”, wouldn’t it close the associated web page?

Yes! It will. I just want to know, if I close the tab in that way, do I need to worry if new internet traffic would also been generated as “reloading that associate page” again?
