Would like to know if I could Bluetooth pictures from my phone to my ipad

I have a htc desire and need to switch pictures from it to my ipad

Not directly... you'd have to get them from the HTC however you can to cloud storage that the iPad can sync to or access as storage.

Welcome to iMore! As @kch50428 stated use a cloud solution like Dropbox or OneDrive. You can also use the Move to iOS app from the Google Play Store, although I can't vouch for how effectively it works.
