Wondering about upgrade to Mojave on MacBook Pro 2012

I

iMore Question

I have MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012) 2.3 GHz i7 8Gb RAM, running HIgh Sierra 10.13.6. Is upgrading to Mojave a good idea? I mean, does this computer have enough hardware resources to adequately handle the new OS?

Do you have more than 4 GB RAM? If so, it should be okay running Mojave, in my opinion.

I think you should be fine with 8 gigs of ram. Mac OS is optimized pretty well and as long as your not opening really big files or doing heavy graphics work, you should be fine.

I have Mojave installed on both of my iMac 27 units and so far I am really liking it. The dark mode is a neat feature which I just can’t get used to, but a few new features make the upgrade worth while. Hope it helps.
