I think I will preorder. Remember a lot of the Verizon phones did not come on launch day, at least mine didn't. It hadn't even shipped yet and I was one of the first to order online. I went to the store, and it was not busy by afternoon, got my new Iphone, and had them cancel the online order. I really was glad I did that. Did not want to wait.

I am getting the 4S on a line I have with Sprint. Hopefully they will do better in the shipping area than Verizon did.

Nah - I'm going to Pre-Order online on Friday morning at work and get the overnight shipping, if there are any left.

Actually excited - this will be my first ever smartphone!

I'm still not totally sold on it yet, but I'll make my decision after Google's announcements are made next Tuesday. While I do feel that iOS is a VERY smooth and reliable OS, I do like some of the Android functionality that you just can't get with the iPhone.

Such as? I think Siri is the real game changer in the 4s and I don't see anything on Android that is even close.

Google has had voice controls just like siri. It is all preference some like ios some like Android. Can't beat free Google nav. Nothing on ios matches that unless you pay a ton.

How about widgets and free turn-by-turn voice navigation for starters? The ability to use an alternative app if you don't like the native app's functionality? While I do love the simplicity and stability of iOS, it is by no means without its shortcomings. Just as a note, I've had an iPhone, many Android phones, a few BlackBerries, and Windows Phone 7 devices so I'm not biased in any way shape or form.

If I can't order online I will be standing in line at my closest Rogers store (won't say where cause I don't want any Toronto Googlers honing in on my turf).

No line for me this year...not that i think lower of this version of the iPhone, I'm just sold on the idea of pre-ordering online and having it shipped to me, ready to go. I've ready good things about early shipments and I'm hoping to enjoy that same benefit this time...but i won't be upset if it doesn't, as long as i get it release weekend, i'll be fine.
