With the nice list of features that will be available to iOS6, will Jailbreaking even matter? I admit, even I am on the fence about it after seeing the new stuff they have coming out. I think the only thing that will keep me waiting for a jailbreak will be PDANet and custom themes. I don't use PDAnet that often, and I can live with the bland iOS theme...what do you guys think?

If you get one of Verizon's new "Share Everything" plans, the need for PDANet will be zilch. Personal Hotspot is included in that.

Excellent point. I am still grandfathered in on the unlimited plan, but I intend to look at my options with the new ones for sure...

I will still jailbreak if it is possible. None of the new features are that impressive. What I jailbreak for was not touched in the updates.

Until I can deactivate A2DP natively I will be jailbreaking. Without the ability to deactivate that it is impossible to use the music functions and hands-free functions at the same time in the car.

it's funny how you mention you are on the fence after seeing "the new stuff" when there are oodles of mad iDevice users right now who say it is not worth updating for.. this tells me that you actually pay attention and appreciate these changes in the next OS. good to see

before i went to 6.0 beta i was struggling whether i really needed to jailbreak anymore. when i do jailbreak it is only for a handful of tweaks anyways. i find myself going back to stock when i start to see little imperfections due to jailbreaking (apps/tweaks)

i like knowing i do not NEED to jailbreak and a stock iPhone these days is not as bad as it used to be

so to answer the question; sure i might jailbreak iOS 6 when/if it is possible but it may not be for very long! lol

I don't like being stuck with just one set of icons, or other "stock" options. I'll JB as fast as a pig through a porcupine...

I feel like I get bored too quickly (the annoying grid) and have really enjoyed the tweaks (like toggles, quick reply) that don't seem to integrated yet for some reason.

I don't care for themes, fonts, icons, and ect. I last JB on a consistant basis on 3GS on OS 3.1.3 with Spirit. Really only 2 reasons I JB. Folders and wallpapers. Since those came to iOS 4.0, I just don't have the need so I'll continue to stay stock. And since I don't care for the JB, I choose to run the beta iOS 6 now.

Same here. Do I want to jailbreak? Yes. Do I need to? Not at all. I only do so now cause I can. And with each software update I usually go back to stock if the new features are worth it. Like deleting photos from photo stream. This was a necessity. I would t use it before that.

I guess the only reason for me to jailbreak is BiteSms and Cyntact. I like photos next to the contacts. Why apple hasn't stolen? I mean? implemented this yet is beyond me. lol

Rumor has it Verizon is forcing all customers with unlimited data onto a 2 gig plan with their next upgrade. If you want to avoid that, you'll have to pay full retail. I'm in the same boat as you. I'd love the new iPhone with iOS 6 but I don't want to give up my data. Plus, I think the "Share Everything" plan will cost us more.

On topic: I decided to JB my iPhone just to see what it's like. The only feature I used was SBSettings. I didn't want to pay for apps when I knew the JB wasn't going to last long. I barely have a need for a JB as it is. Come iOS 6, I probably won't JB again.

I will always find it necessary to Jailbreak in order to use any locked down Apple device. My 4S was unjailbroken for 24 hours yesterday and I couldn't stand it.

I currently pay about $200/month on VZW for two smartphones and one regular phone (no data), 1400 shared minutes, unlimited text, pic and data. According to VZW's plan (if I'm figuring it out right) my new monthly with unlimited text and pics, 2GB data and 1400 shared will be $170. And that gives me mobile broadband conect and wifi hotspot...no need for PDA Net. I can even bump to 5GB of data and keep my price if I am reading all their stuff correctly...so I am thinking iOS6 pure will be just fine! At least until they offer a JB. But I think I'll upgrade as soon as it comes out.
