Will WiFi and iTunes still work on an iPhone 6 plus if it has a bad ESN?

I plan on just using the iPhone 6 Plus to be a viewer for my DJI Osmo. I just need WiFi, bluetooth and iTunes to work (to download the app). Can I buy a phone with a bad ESN to work? Anything else I should look out for?
