Will Upgrading loose my Unlock?

Hey guys,
B4 i never upgraded my phone until it was a necessity but just for better knowledge can someone tell me if i upgrade to a higher OS will i loose my unlock? And if so how can i unlock it plz answer...

Which iPhone do you have? What version of iOS?

If you upgrade to iOS 4.1 via iTunes, it will upgrade your baseband, and you will lose your unlock. You'll need to use TinyUmbrella to upgrade to 4.1 without upgrading your baseband.

Yeah, I'm staying at 4.0.1, too. I see no real reason to upgrade at this point. The only things I'd get from 4.1 are Game Center and HDR photos. I'm not into gaming, and I already have the Pro HDR app.

I don't think so. The legally unlocked ones probably have a different baseband.

If you tighten it up before you upgrade you wont loose it...
