Will updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 9 hurt the resale value on eBay?

I am selling my iPhone 6 on eBay once my 6s arrives. In the past upgrading the os hurt the resale value to people who jailbreak. Will this hurt the resale value? Thanks.

I wouldn't have thought so. It depends how desperate you are to check out iOS 9. My 6+ which is on eBay is already on 9.1 beta 1

Back in the day it used to like ios4 days. Do people still jailbreak the phone?

Since there really is not a publicly available 8.4.x jailbreak, nor a 9.0 public yet - the issue is moot.

Even if the jailbreaks were available, all the buyer would have to do is roll back the software.

If they know how to jailbreak, they'll know how to do that.
