Will there ever be a non teathered jailbreak for new bootrom?

I bought a new 3gs. It ended up being a week 50.I jailbroken the phone was Incredible. However the phone went on a boot and even when I ran blackrain it would not boot. I had no choice but to upgrade to 3.1.3

do you think or do ppl know if they will ever jailbreak in the future for the new bootrome? So that once I jailbreak I don't have to run a software to start the phone when the phone shuts off?

Should I sell my phone on eBay or cl and buy a week 40?

I doubt it. Apple's goal is security and it's only going to get more difficult to do.
