Will removing my sim card effect telecommunication service provider ?

We plan to run a boycott for our communication service provider in our country .. will removing sim cards from phones in a particular day, will it effect the communication provider and push them to hear us?

Removing the SIM card will remove your service and still let you use your phone when on wifi.

It will remove the service from your phone. But you still have a service plan with your provider. Your provider would not know you removed the SIM card. It does not send them any messages.

As other said, it will not affect the provider.
They will just have a few lines showing as inactive on their grid.
