Will new (4th generation) Apple TV play my ripped DVD movies in ITunes?

I make one ripped digital version from each our DVDs that we own and transfer to iTunes to watch on our 3rd generation Apple TVs. Will this process still be available with the new 2015 Apple TV 4?

Pretty sure iTunes and Apple TV will work just the same.

if you have a mac and install Beamer you'll be able to stream the movie directly instead of adding it to iTunes.
