Will Apple Store Replace It?

I

iMore Question

I have a T-Mobile iPhone 5s 16gb Space Gray. It fell into a puddle and was standing upright in about two inches of water for no more than five seconds. I turned it off immediately, left it off for 48 hours in a bag of rice, still no luck. I can access the phone but the screen is completely squirrely, often typing and selecting things on its own and with "dead zones". A colleague told me that the Apple Store often replaces phones at no cost and I'm wondering if it's likely to happen for me?

Only if you have AppleCare+ and there's a charge for a replacement device... or, if you have a device insurance plan purchased via t-mobile, you could file a claim under that.
