Will Apple launch a sim-free iPhone 6s on launch date?

I currently have an iPhone 5s and am planning on upgrading to the iPhone 6s upon launch. However, with having Sprint as my network, I don't want to change my plan at all and want to purchase the device at full price aka sim-free. Will I have to wait? Or will the unlocked devices me readily available at launch?
