There is no 4g network in uk, the only one in the world is japan. So why are apple releasing the iphone 4g this year if it will take a few year for a 4g network to be established in the major countries?
I may be wrong but im guessing thats what 4g means and that it is the iphone 4g handset, not just OS4, that is to be anounced at the wwdc in july and released soon after....

It will not even be called '4G'

I think the only thing that will slow it's release here in the uk will be the availability of micro Sims

So does this mean that you guys think the new iPhone, 4G/HD whatever it may be, will be released within 3 month and will be full working in UK?
So maybe i was wrong to get a 3GS only 3 weeks ago when I should of waited. Only i was under the asumption it would be a couple of year til i could have a fully work $G/HD in uk.....

Yeah hate to rub it in but you were definitely wrong. You shouldve waited. However most carriers do have a 30 day return policy, you might be able to return it if you act fast.

It will work fully, it won't be "4G" in terms of network speeds, it will be "4G" in terms of the 4th Generation iPhone.

I feel I do not need to say it because everyone else already did. It will work. And as far as MicroSIMs go, you will be fine. It is really not hard at all. They are the exact same card just smaller. Hey, there are even guides out there to show you how to cut down your current SIM to a microSIM.

Oooh. That means I can buy a new iPhone and use my old sim. AT&T does not need to know that I have a new iPhone. I really do not want to extend my AT&T contract. I do not even want the new iPhone badly enough to do that. Can I find those instructions on Wikihow?
