Why won't my notes app on my Mac Air open, it is showing domain error 8?

my notes app on my mac air wont open showing domain error 8, please help!

my app wont open and i need in to get notes for a meeting asap

According to this discussion at Apple's Support Forums it may be an issue with your Exchange setup (if you have one). Unchecking Notes has fixed it for other folks experiencing the same issue.
