If you can afford the 32GB model without breaking the bank, that's the way to go. 16GB doesn't go very far these days and, unless you're willing to actively manage your storage, you'll likely run into issues. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the 16GB models of new Apple devices are abandoned in 2016.
If the 32 puts a crimp in your budget, then get the 16 gb and manage your storage. If you don't put a lot of music on it, you should be OK. And you can use Box and Dropbox for photos. But, if money is no issue, get the 32.
