Why Outlook iPhone app does not include Tasks and Notes?

I'm amazed that MS, although having purchased this app and not developed it from scratch, failed to include all the 'basic' functionality of the desktop program. Specifically, I refer to the app's lack of Tasks and Notes--both of which I use extensively. I was hoping that I could discard the 3rd party iPhone app for tasks and notes and the 3rd party sync software that I currently use.

Any information on this topic?

Alas, Microsoft does this with most of their software. This is why I avoid using MS products (sans Word) outside of the enterprise environment.

I think that's would be a great add-on for Outlook. Tasks would be nice , so I would stop looking for task on the app store.
