Why isn't Siri/spotlight suggestions (nearby) showing in iOS 9?

Siri/spotlight suggestions (nearby) is not showing in ios 9

i recently upgraded my iphone to IOS 9 i'm facing this problem. only contacts and apps are showing in spotlight window, Nearby and news is missing from spotlight..my region is set to USA. I also tried to turn off suggestions reboot and turn it on again..
Any help please

i think it is a bug in IOS 9

I have all of these:contacts, most recent used, and nearby. All there since updated.

Be sure you have what you want toggled on in Settings >General >Spotlight Search. Also be sure you have location services on.

How do you even get spotlight search? Is it just for iPhones and iPads or can you get it on iPod 5th generation

That menu is what you get when you pull down on the page. To get the spotlight menu with nearby and news you need to swipe to the right from the first page of your apps. You'll then get that spotlight search you are looking for.

That menu is what you get when you pull down on the page. To get the spotlight menu with nearby and news you need to swipe to the right from the first page of your apps. You'll then get that spotlight search you are looking for.

it is not the menu that we get when we pull down the page it is spotlight menu, we get when we swipe to right and it this menu my nearby and news are missing

Same here, going to the far left page only gets me contacts and apps. No nearby or news there. iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6. Region: USA

What is the problem?? Is it a bug in ios 9?? Is apple is aware of this bug ??

I'm in the UK and get suggested people, apps and news but nothing for nearby places.

I am from Pakistan but region is set to America..hope apple will fix it soon many people are facing this problem specially from rest of America

Hey, I too am having same problem. Did you get this problem solved ? Its been a year almost .
