Why is the storage on my brand new iPhone 5C already full?

Usage shows 5.4 gb used but adding up the storage used comes to only 3 gb. What is using the rest of the storage?

Posting screen shots would probably help. Could be a host of things eating the memory.

It probably came with I movie and all the other apps that Apple gives you when you buy an iPhone if you have that just delete them.
