Why is the gray bar with predictive text missing ios 9.2.1

Why is the gray bar with predictive text missing ios 9.2.1....I don't have the option on my phone to slide up on the bar anymore it is completely gone but my other devices it is there?

Did you try typing to see if it appears? As soon as I start typing on my keyboard the predictive text pops up. If it doesn't appear when you start typing go to option>general>keyboard>predictive and make sure it is enabled.

To add to what Fit24 suggested; the predictive text bar doesn't come up sometimes. Like the in the search bar for Settings, mine never appears there but always appears in text messages. Not sure why it works in some areas and not in others.

I use SwiftKey and the predictive keyboard always works and is always there, except when it switches to stock for passwords.
