Why is my phone dialling people I don't know?

I was at work one day and I received a message from someone. I asked who she was and why is she texting me. She said I called her and sent me a screen shot of my number as a missed call on her phone. My call history doesn't even show her number and my phone wasn't even with me at the time, it locked up in a draw I only have access to.
