Why is my missed phone call constant LED flashing or alerting?

Oh sure, I too have watched those threads predictably devolve as they always seem to. It's weird, it's like the one word you never say to an iPhone fan, lol.

There are actually many words in that category - many times, rightly so.

But I didn't think the OP was condemning the iPhone for not having an LED, but rather just asking how to receive persistent alerts - and listing the possible options. It's not even the OP's personal phone, they may not be aware that the iPhone doesn't have an LED since most others do.

There is one already - the Notification Center.

I've been looking for a workaround for persistent alerts too. I'd hoped that some sort of third-party app could provide persistent alerts (like LightFlow on Android or BeBuzz on BlackBerry), but I think iOS app sandboxing and limited background tasks makes it impossible.

What's with the condescension and sarcasm in this thread?

The OP asked a perfectly legitimate question. The suggested workarounds are great, but some of the others seem less than helpful.

Where did the OP ask a question? The title? That was a big garbled.

He/she defined a use case and proposed a behaviour that most of us in this thread are not interested in.

There are other platforms that do what he/she described in his/her use case. Personally out of all the things iPhone could decide to do, the LED is not one of want. I've left my conditioned responses way behind me. Pavlov stopped calling. So after facing yet another LED thread, I've voiced my opinion. Which aligns with the choices I've made in relation to the phone I use.

And *anyone* in IT/support or managing a fleet of devices knows the iPhone's capabilities.

Some wearable watches or bands? If you have calls the bands or watches will vibrate at the same time to notice you ?
I have no idea about it on iPhone.
