Why is my iPhone super laggy?

My iphone is super laggy. Hardly works half the time. When i call it hangs up. I really need this.

Depending on the age of the device, there comes a time when it needs to be replaced by a newer model.

Which iphone is best and latest model-iphone6 or 6+

Both launched at the same time. Both have same internals (minus the plus having a larger battery and OIS)

Could always try a backup and then an erase and restore. That sometimes can do the trick. If you've had apps that you've uninstalled they can store some data in the cache. Full wipe can sometimes do wonders. Recently did a backup and restore on a 4S and it runs like a dream now.
