i phone displaying numbers not contact names

All of a sudden my i phone is displaying numbers not contact names and my contact names have disappeared

Do you still have contact cards for those in contacts? Are their numbers still there? Does your number show at the top in contacts? How many contacts do this way? Are those numbers blocked?
