Why is my iphone 6 not coming on

I tried to power on my iPhone 6 but it would not come on, i assumed the battery was dead, so i plugged it in and stepped away from the phone a bit, suddenly i hear my iPhone vibrating, i rush to see if its working, i tapped on the screen nothing came on, i hit the power button nothing, the only thing the phone keeps doing is vibrating, in a beep beep,,,,,, beee, beep manner, HELP ! ! !, What does this mean and what should i do. I need my phone as soon as possible

Try holding both power & home for 20 secs (or until you see the apple logo). If not, the screen is done.
