Why is my iPhone 5s running iOS 8.4 unable to show destination location route from my current location?

My iPhone 5s running iOS 8.4 is unable to show destination location route from my current location.

I wanted to visit a tourist site and decided to drive with the help of my iPhone 5s map app. When I tried to set a route to the site location from my current location on the map app, it didn't work. I even tried again by resetting location & privacy and networking. It says that directions not available and a route to the nearest road can not be determined. Please advice.

Have you tried restarting your device? Does the phone know your current location?

Try Google Maps.
