Why is my continuity/handoff lock screen app icon dingy yellow?

The last few days I've noticed on my lock screen that in the bottom left corner that the continuity/handoff app icon is a dingy yellow, like nicotine stain yellow, really weird. It just started looking like this a few days ago, previously the icons were always white. Nothing wrong with my screen, perfect color & brightness when a handoff app not showing. Only on my 6, doesn't do it on iPads.

That's really weird. Try changing your wallpaper. I'm curious if that has any effect on it.

Right, it does - but I have had the same wallpaper for months, and it just changed behavior the last couple of days.

Are you running the 10.2 beta? It appears Apple alleviated the nasty dim background issue and now iOS is picking up a yellow tone from that picture for some odd reason.
