Why is my app not working?

How can I fix me Facebook app on my iPhone 4? The app has been saying waiting for almost a week now , I've tried to download a new app but it will not let me because of this one how can I fix it?

delete the app from your phone then try reinstalling-

If it won't delete, do a hard reset. Hold the top power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.
