sim not vaid iphone 4 please help

y friend recently gave me her old iPhone 4 and I currently have the Samsung ace 2 mini. Her iPhone is locked and will not let me set up the phone without a Sim card and when I put in my sim card from my android it says that the Sim card is not valid, I think this is because her carrier is Rogers and mine is Fido but how can I fix this so that I can use my Sim card in her phone? Please help aasp

If the iPhone is locked to her carrier (Rogers), you need to get a SIM from Rogers OR find a 3rd party service to unlock the iPhone.
