Why is Group Messages Not Working Anymore?

I restored my phone and setup as a new phone a couple weeks ago. I noticed that I lost the ability to group text but only when one or more android users are involved. I cannot send messages or photos anymore. Updated to iOS 8 tonight and still the same thing. Any ideas?

Group messages work well with non-Apple users in my experience, but only 2 or 3 people had Android devices and the others all had iPhones. I was running iOS 8 GM, and I think the others were running iOS 7.1.X. Still, we didn't have any problems communicating with each other.
