Why is FaceTime not ringing on my iPad when I have a caller?

If someone wants to FaceTime me, they have to phone me on my landline to tell me to watch for their FaceTime.

Have you checked your notification settings for FaceTime? Settings > Notifications > FaceTime.

Also not only the settings but do you have what is needed turned on to receive a call....Logged into iCloud and have WIFI and Bluetooth on also. Same as being able to take a regular phone call on your iPad.
