Why I can not get directions on maps? I' m living in Bahrain

IOS 10, I pad air 2, unistalled and reinstalled maps 3 times...but maps directions are not available for Bahrain! I'm very disappointed! Shall I install google maps? Thank you for your support

Unless you have a wifi + data enabled iPad, there is no GPS in the wifi only version. You can't get directions without GPS.

There are 3rd party apps that cover Bahrain...
