WhY don't I have a contacts icon on iPad

can you show me how to locate icon and lodge it to desk top?
I want to delete superfluous email addresses that seem to be in the iPad memory

Have you looked in folders? Go to your 2nd screen page and see if there's a folder there. Tap on it. See if the contacts app icon is there.
Where do you see superfluous email addresses?
