Why doesn't my iPad calendar sync when I use Siri on my iPhone

my calendars are synched on my iPad and iPhone when I create events manually. But when I use Siri on my iPhone to create an event, the event doesn't appear on my iPad calendar. (iCloud does appear to be set up properly and works for this and other applications.)

I don't know, but I'd like to think that if it doesn't sync to iCloud immediately, it would at some point. Does the Siri-created event show up on your iCloud calendar online?
