Why does Siri send invitations to events without my asking?

I tell Siri, for example, to "create an event called 'lunch with Jane' at 1230 next Monday". Siri will then ask me "Which Jane?". When I tell Siri, it will create the event but will also send a Calendar invitation to my chosen Jane. I don't want it to without my specifically asking.

I don't know. That has never happened when I ask Siri to do something similar.

It's all how you word the directions to Siri.
